The Brewer High School Choir program offers choral singing opportunities in grades 9 through 12, including five performing choirs. Two choirs are available to any student who desires to sing or learn to sing, and advanced singers may audition for the other three choirs.
In addition to the five choral ensembles, Brewer High School has a show choir, Brewer Synergy, a singing/dancing choir that performs a variety of pop and Broadway style music.
BHS choirs perform several times a year and travel and perform in local competitions, taking a larger trip each year to places like New York City and Orlando, Fla. for national competitions.
Students qualify for regional and state level recognitions, and the program prepares those students who want desire to perform professionally. BHS has even had students audition for The Voice and America’s Got Talent!
Choir students join the theatre program to provide singers for the school musicals, such as “Beauty and the Beast,” “Annie” and “The Addams Family.” Brewer choirs perform at annual holiday events and provide the National Anthem at BHS athletic events.
Choir students are involved in many other school organizations such as Athletics, Art, Band, National Honor Society, Student Council, Drill Team and Theatre.
